January 2nd, 2018: Kids are back to school (mommy is jumping up and down dancing in the living room) and normal life is about to start. We have had a crazy time during the Holidays. It has been so fun, but so, sooo exhausting. for two weeks, we had two toddlers running around the house, wanting attention, needing everything at the same time and discovering a new hobby called: 'How far can we take mommy before you looses it' (... which btw they discovered a couple of times).
Nonetheless, we had a great Christmas and a fabulous New Year. I must admit that the kids behaved very well during the past two weeks. We managed to take on a some nice projects, such as baking Christmas cookies, setting up the tree (and no more touching the tree when a glass ornament shattered), playing, swimming, cleaning up, but mostly lots of laughing and cuddling during the day.
We kept our daily routine, which was very pleasant for us parents, as the kids were in bed by 8pm, resulting is some quality time (which means taking a breather and charging our 'battery' to do this all over again tomorrow).
As a sit here typing this, I look back at how our family has been glowing and how wonderful the coming year is going to be. We have goals, we have plans and we will take on new adventures as they come. The kids will continue to grow and Bryan and I will have to further develop our negotiation skills dealing with a 2 and 4 year old by the end of the year.
I have drafted a list of daily to do's which will be required every day (feel free to add them to your daily routine):
- Wake up with a grateful heart. You're still here alive and breathing.
- Greet each other with a "good morning".
- Eat breakfast
- Smile to your fellow people
- Be humble, no matter what
- Take a breather, we all need a quiet time and space to recompose
- Work with a checklist, any kind will do
- Say "I love you" to your loved ones
- Clear your space (de-clutter) a clean space is necessary for a peaceful mind
- Practice the law of attraction
- Drink lots of water
- Notice the magic in each and every day.
Happy New Year!
