Too many people are counting calories and not enough are counting chemicals

First of all I'm going to keep this blog post to a minimum of details regarding chemicals we used on a daily basis. I've gotten sick just by reading all these researches containing information on the horrible things that we voluntarily put on our skin, which is mostly absorbed by our bloodstream.

So just to give you a hint of why you should start reading your labels and ditch the chemicals I write for you this story of truth today....

The average person uses about nine personal care products per day and never thinks twice

about them. Many use more. These are your shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, lotions, creams, cologne or perfume, and cosmetics. Let’s just say you use nine products. That equals 129 unique chemicals you’re exposed to daily. Yet, few of their ingredients are proven safe for human health.

You might be shocked to find out there’s little oversight as to what chemicals can be included in personal care products.

On average, women use 12 personal care products a day, exposing themselves to 168 chemical ingredients. Men use six, exposing themselves to 85 unique chemicals.

Scientists are now realizing the chemicals found in a wide array of household goods are more toxic than previously thought. Since health and wellness is not simply about diet and exercise, but also about limiting exposure to toxic things, it’s a good idea to become aware of these items and take action steps to remove them wherever possible. Here is just to name a few:

  1. Perfumes

  2. Cleaning products

  3. Air fresheners

  4. Cosmetics

  5. Antiperspirants

  6. Fabric softeners

  7. Baby products

Do your own research. There is a lot of proven scientific research to be found. Do you remember the Johnson & Johnson baby powder gate? Probably not, cause the company paid a whole bunch of money for this settlement to keep quiet.
